Reflecting (What's on my mind?)

This morning on my way to work,  I was sitting at the Waipahu Transit Center drinking my coffee waiting for my connecting bus. I was thinking about the latest email that was forward to me.  I thought about the message it held for me.  I started reflecting on the things that happened in my life. and how God was there evry step of the way.  I still struggle with things in my life and I ask God to give me the strength to make the right choice. I am still a work in progress.  I am a walking Testimony, and God has a purpose for me,I am to share my experiences with people.  On Tuesday my daughter forward an email that her cousin share with her And it made my day
It made me reflect on my life.  I have much to be Thankful

Subject: Rick Warren

This is my sermon for the day! Let it minister to you in person, and when it has; endeavor to share with others!

You will enjoy the new insights that Rick Warren has, with his wife now having cancer and him having 'wealth' from the book sales. This is an absolutely incredible short interview with Rick Warren, 'Purpose Driven Life ' author and pastor of Saddleback Church in California ..
In the interview by Paul Bradshaw with Rick Warren, Rick said:
People ask me, What is the purpose of life?
And I respond: In a nutshell, life is preparation for eternity. We were not made to last forever, and God wants us to be with Him in Heaven.
One day my heart is going to stop, and that will be the end of my body-- but not the end of me.
I may live 60 to 100 years on earth, but I am going to spend trillions of years in eternity. This is the warm-up act - the dress rehearsal. God wants us to practice on earth what we will do forever in eternity..
We were made by God and for God, and until you figure that out, life isn't going to make sense.
Life is a series of problems: Either you are in one now, you're just coming out of one, or you're getting ready to go into another one.
The reason for this is that God is more interested in your character than your comfort; God is more interested in making your life holy than He is in making your life happy.
We can be reasonably happy here on earth, but that's not the goal of life. The goal is to grow in character, in Christ likeness.
This past year has been the greatest year of my life but also the toughest, with my wife, Kay, getting cancer.
I used to think that life was hills and valleys - you go through a dark time, then you go to the mountaintop, back and forth. I don't believe that anymore.
Rather than life being hills and valleys, I believe that it's kind of like two rails on a railroad track, and at all times you have something good and something bad in your life..
No matter how good things are in your life, there is always something bad that needs to be worked on.
And no matter how bad things are in your life, there is always something good you can thank God for.
You can focus on your purposes, or you can focus on your problems:
If you focus on your problems, you're going into self-centeredness, which is my problem, my issues, my pain.' But one of the easiest ways to get rid of pain is to get your focus off yourself and onto God and others.
We discovered quickly that in spite of the prayers of hundreds of thousands of people, God was not going to heal Kay or make it easy for her- It has been very difficult for her, and yet God has strengthened her character, given her a ministry of helping other people, given her a testimony, drawn her closer to Him and to people.
You have to learn to deal with both the good and the bad of life.
Actually, sometimes learning to deal with the good is harder. For instance, this past year, all of a sudden, when the book sold 15 million copies, it made me instantly very wealthy.
It also brought a lot of notoriety that I had never had to deal with before. I don't think God gives you money or notoriety for your own ego or for you to live a life of ease.
So I began to ask God what He wanted me to do with this money, notoriety and influence. He gave me two different passages that helped me decide what to do, II Corinthians 9 and Psalm 72.
First, in spite of all the money coming in, we would not change our lifestyle one bit.. We made no major purchases.
Second, about midway through last year, I stopped taking a salary from the church.
Third, we set up foundations to fund an initiative we call The Peace Plan to plant churches, equip leaders, assist the poor, care for the sick, and educate the next generation.
Fourth, I added up all that the church had paid me in the 24 years since I started the church, and I gave it all back. It was liberating to be able to serve God for free.
We need to ask ourselves: Am I going to live for possessions? Popularity?
Am I going to be driven by pressures? Guilt? Bitterness? Materialism? Or am I going to be driven by God's purposes (for my life)?
When I get up in the morning, I sit on the side of my bed and say, God, if I don't get anything else done today, I want to know You more and love You better. God didn't put me on earth just to fulfill a to-do list. He's more interested in what I am than what I do.
That's why we're called human beings, not human doings.
Happy moments, PRAISE GOD.
Difficult moments, SEEK GOD.
Quiet moments, WORSHIP GOD.
Painful moments, TRUST GOD.
Every moment, THANK GOD..
If you do not pass it on, nothing will happen. But it will just be nice to pass it on to a friend....just like I have done.
God's Blessings
HE ARRIVED THIS MORNING, WE HAD PRAYER; SPENT SOME TIME JUST TALKING, AND HE HELD ME FOR AWHILE BECAUSE I WAS HAVING A BAD MORNING.. THEN, HE WAS ON HIS WAY TO YOUR PLACE.
When He gets to your PC, escort Him to the next stop. Please don't allow Him to sleep on your PC. The message He is carrying is very important and needs to go round. May God bless you.

Struggles

Lately I have been struggling with staying focus.  Yet God has always been there for me, he reminds me, and brings to memory the passage that he laid on my heart the beginning of the year 2010.
He also brings to memory the Song titled "Slow Fade".  He Reminds me that people don't crumble in a day,  it's a slow process.  It's because we, listen to empty words and promise, and we let them lead us astray.
God has brought to memory all that he has laid on my heart and will continue to laid other passages on my heart.  These passages is just he beginning of what he has instored for me.

The Warren Brothers - Dear Mr. God

Lately I have been struggling with many things. It is so true that  music can soothe the savage beast and it is inspiring. I have been listening to Casting Crowns and the Album "the Altar to the Door" has the title Song "Slow"Fade" and Mark Hall the leadsinger and a Youth Pastor, has a teaching video, which may have inspired the song "Slow Fade" stemmed from  the bible passage Psalm 1:1-2. After listening to the video I understood the biblt passage that the Lord laid on my heart the beginning of the New Year 2010 and could see what he saw in the passage  The man walking, then standing, then sitting  slowly shutting down. The 5 W's  Who? What? When? Where? Why? "People never crumble in a day." It's a slow fade.

This week I came across another song from a movie titled "Letters to God" and a song titled "Dear Mr. God." Lately I have forgotten how to pray and I've wanted to give in, and God reminds me that he is there and will always be there. He never gives us more then we can handle.  I thank God for his Love, and breathing life into his word, Ps 121.

I am looking forward to checking out the movie.  Listening to music  especially when the words are so heartfelt, moving and inspiring.

Guarding My Time

Lately I have not been to church and its because of my laziness, I have no excuses.  I'm sitting here thinking about my previous blog and the truth of Psalms 1:1-2  and I see the, Slow Fade of a person, and yet it does not happen over night it is a slow process, when we compromise, after compromise.

What kind of counsel are we seeking, who's counsel do we seek. There is much on my mind am I really guarding my time with God am I really hearing his voice or am I listening to self. I understand why those 3 Bible passages were place on my heart the beginning of the year. Its a reminder, my dependence is on God,  my faith is believing Jesus.

I need to seek his counsel.  Thank God For those reminders, for without his love and those reminders I would crumble.  Slow Fade is a song that will stay on my mind, its teaching video will remain on my heart, as the song say People never crumble in a day, its a Slow Fade. When we allow ourselves to be compromised.

Satan comes to kill steal and destroy, he know what buttons to push.  Even in my life my own marriage failed because I allowed myself to be compromise, I knew God and had a passion for him yet compromise after compromise, my marriage spiraled out of ontrolled that my children suffered.  Yet God was faithfull he took cae of my children.
Eph 6:12 (KJV)
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Matt 6:33 (KJV)
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

The things added, Wisdom, Knowledge, Understanding, Faith,  Love,  Mercy, Peace
Life as a christian is never all roses but it is sufficient for when we are weak, God gives us Strength, for even when we are poor, With God we are rich.  Thank God for the constant reminders.

Slow Fade

After Listening to the teaching video on the song Slow Fade, the lesson is so true it spoke to my heart.
It reminded me of the passage that the Lord had place in my heart the beginning of the year, Jan. 1,2010
Psalms 1:1-2 (KJV )1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

This Song; Slow Fade really spoke to my heart.  Here is a small part of the song.

It's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
Daddies never crumble in a day
Families never crumble in a day

Oh be careful little eyes what see
Oh be careful little eyes what you see
For the Father up above is looking down in love
Oh be careful little eyes what you see

 Thank You Lord!

Blinded

Is it difficult living a christian life, do we thank God for his never fading, never ending LOVE, GRACE and MERCY.   Jesus will always be there when we need him, his love is unconditional.

Listening to this song reminded me, are we so blind as christian that we do not see others who are struggling and need help, are we so busy to not see those who need help.  Do we not see them or do we not care because we are so closed mind, have we forgotten where we were  before we got closer to God and changed our lives.  Jesus die on the cross for everyone, and he is never to busy to see the things that go on with those he love.  Jesus Loves You?

Sometimes Do We need Jesus To take Control?

Do we sometimes feel that we need Jesus to take Control.

It's been a time of struggling with alot of thing and yes even  my faith, yet God never fails he's always there, to remind us of how much he loves us.
This Song Spoke to my heart. Like many others

As Christian do we let the world consume us that we lose control?
Do we forget our first Love (Jesus)?
Do we lose faith?
Let Jesus Take control
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Sometimes much that consumes our minds weighs heavy and we need to lighten the load, for we can't do it by ourselves, we need to let Jesus take that Wheel.
Thank You Lord for the many reminders
