”Prayer Availeth Much”

Oct. 23 2011

Its is Sunday Morning since Susan’s death, its been a battle with family mostly spiritual battle, people who you grow up with how they have changed and at times not for the best. They have become self-centered, selfless, selfish, greedy. Lord is it just me.

7:5: You hypocrite! First remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother's eye

I really do need answers, My heart is on Kauai where my daughter is yet something about this home that keeps me here.

Lately I have been reading Prayer Availeth Much, because I am genuinely seeking God more than I ever have In Adult life, at times doubt and felt defeated, yet I am reminded that God is with me, that when I pray and make my request known to God, that it has been answered.

Ineed to set aside a time while preparing for work in prayer to commune with God early in the morning, to see what has God instored for the day.  Father God Thank You In jesus name Amen.

Faith and Believing

Mark 11:24: Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.
Romans 12:2: Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Ecclessiastes 1:18: For in much wisdom is much grief; and he who increases knowledge increases sorrow
.

These Scriptures, tugged at my heart. When you pray you need to believe, to beleve is to have Faith; Webster definition of faith; (1) belief and trust in and loyalty to God. (2) belief in the traditional doctrines of a religion.  Hebrews 11:1: Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not yet seen.

Sunday while in Church these scriptures tugged on my heart. I woke up Monday with a song in my heart and these scriptures on my mind. I am reminded of my sister's faith in God. Through her battle with cancer her faith stood strong through the end she was ready to Go home.

Looking back!

Sometimes looking back isn't the best thing to do as scripture well have when Lots wife looked back she turned to a pillar of salt.  As human we all see things differently because we all are uniquely made created in Gods image. Yet when God created man he gave man a free will to make choices to coose of his free will.

When man committed sin, it distant man from God

Looking back for me is referring to my journal and what I have written and how God has impacted my life... He has been a constant reminder always there through the good and bad times.. he quickens my spirit. Reminding he is always with me. Thank you Lord.

Away Too Long!

I have been inadvertantly preoccupied with everyday things at work and have been exhausted and relaxing or unwinding  has been making Jewelry so I have not written anything in my Blog.. Yet the one constant reminder is that God has always been there. He reminds me by quickening my spirit that he is there and that he loves me... Alot of times I need those reminders because I get so preoccupied with things at work, that are so repititous, yet  God makes time for me I need to make time for him.  Many times God will bring a scripture to mind.  Psalm 1:1-2 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stand in the way of the sinner, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful, but his delight is in the law of the Lord and in that Law doeth he meditate day and night...... Psalm 121: 1-2 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help, my help cometh from the Lord the maker of heaven and earth........ Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God and all his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you..Proverbs 3:5-6  Trust in the Lord with all your heart Lean not unto thine own understanding in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path..... I need those reminders....

Waiting on God!!

As the year is beginning to unfold, I have been reading the word of God, I have download on my desktop a Bible Explorer.  I will say with Gods help I have been reading the word of God. and reading Devotional like Waiting On God!

Waiting On God is a great devotional there is so much there that I needed to know and the writer really hit home.  When I would pray and it seem that God did not and answer my prayers or maybe there was something I was doing wrong.  I realized that we are of more importance in all of God creation.  Yet in all thing God is faithful to answer.  We need to Wait.I thank God for his teaching .

Here is some examples fron the Devotional-Waiting On God

What the universe and the animal creation do unconsciously, God's people are to do intelligently and voluntarily. Man is to be the interpreter of Nature. He is to prove that there is nothing more noble or more blessed in the exercise of our free will than to use it in waiting upon God

Wait upon God as a Living Being, as the Living God, who notices you, and is just longing to fill you with His salvation. Wait on God till you know you have met Him; prayer will then be come so different.

And when you are praying, let there be intervals of silence, reverent stillness of soul, in which you yield yourself to God, in case He may have aught He wishes to teach you or to work in you. Waiting on Him will become the most blessed part of prayer, and the blessing thus obtained will be doubly precious as the fruit or such fellowship with the Holy One, God has so ordained it, in harmony with His holy nature, and with ours, that waiting on Him should be the honor we give Him. Let us bring Him the service gladly and truthfully; He will reward it abundantly.

"The eyes of all wait upon Thee, and Thou givest them their meat in due season." Dear soul, God provides in Nature for the creatures He has made: how much more will He provide in Grace for those He has redeemed. Learn to say of every want, and every failure, and every lack of needful grace: I have waited too little upon God, or He would have given me in due season all I needed. And say then too,

"My soul, wait thou only upon God!"

The special surrender to the Divine guidance in our seasons of prayer must cultivate, and be followed up by, the habitual looking upwards "all the day." As simple as it is, to one who has eyes, to walk all the day in the light of the sun, so simple and delightful can it become to a soul practiced in Waiting on God, to walk all the day in the enjoyment of God's light and leading. What is needed to help us to such a life is just one thing: the real knowledge and faith of God as the one only source of wisdom and goodness, as ever ready, and longing much to be to us all that we can possibly require—yes! this is the one thing we need. If we but saw our God in His love, if we but believed that He waits to be gracious, that He waits to be our life and to work all in us,—how this Waiting on God would become our highest joy, the natural and spontaneous response of our hearts to His great love and glory!

"My soul, wait thou only upon God!"

Into the New Year!

As the New Year crept in and the Old Year faded out. There was much to be thankful. I count it all gain through the good times and the not so good times. And through those times God never failed. Even if I was undeserving yet i was reminded that Gods love is unconditional.  I was remindeed the Lord is my help, Psalms 121:1-2 I will left up mind eyes into the hills from whence cometh my help my help cometh from the lordthe maker of heaven and earth.
